How Much Does It Cost
to Rent a Yacht in Goa?

By Brian Fernandes, Privé Luxury Yachts  ·  April 2026  ·  6 min read

Renting a yacht in Goa typically costs between ₹12,000 and ₹32,000, depending on the size of the yacht and your group. Most charters run for about two hours, one hour cruising and one hour anchored at sunset.

Here's what a standard sunset charter looks like price-wise, based on comfortable capacity:

These prices are based on each yacht's max comfortable capacity. If your group is larger than about 20–25, you're better off looking at a catamaran, still a great time on the water, but it leans more toward a party-boat vibe than the intimate, premium feel of a private yacht.

Why a Yacht, and Why at Sunset

Yachts hit different when the group is under 25. There's an exclusivity to it... a sense of floating above the ordinary, removed from the noise of everyday life. It's the kind of experience that feels effortlessly elevated.

And sunset is the time to do it.

The golden hour from the water is genuinely unreal... the kind of view that makes you put your phone down for a second before picking it back up to capture it. The heat of the day is gone, and there's nothing but a cool breeze through your hair.

Melodic techno playing low, a glass of champagne in hand, and the Arabian Sea stretched out in front of you. Near Miramar, you'll almost certainly spot dolphins.

If you book a longer charter heading toward Fort Aguada and the open sea, the experience shifts entirely. Jellyfish drifting below, silence all around, nothing urban in sight. On the way back, you'll pass through flocks of sea gulls, ridiculously friendly, almost as excited to see you as you are to see them.

Grab a light bite as you cruise back toward Britona and watch the Mandovi transform: the casinos lit up, the bridge glowing, Panjim's riverfront looking like its own little Las Vegas. It's one of those evenings that just stays with you.

What Most People Get Wrong

Here's what usually happens: someone finds the cheapest boat available, rounds up their group, stops for Domino's and a carton of beer, and boards like they're heading to a riverside picnic.

That misses the entire point.

A yacht charter isn't a boat ride. It's an experience... one where you're meant to walk on, settle in, and be taken care of. Champagne poured for you. Curated cocktails. A private chef plating something incredible. A DJ reading the room. Even the snacks hit different, there's something about Pringles on a yacht, trust me.

You don't carry boxes of beer and plastic bags of food onto a yacht. You walk in like it's yours. Because for those two hours, it is.

It's a taste of a lifestyle that even luxury cars can't replicate. And honestly? It might just make you want to work a little harder to have it more often.

How Privé Does It Differently

Privé Luxury Yachts builds the entire experience around you: where you're from, what you and your friends enjoy, what kind of evening you're imagining.

We'll absolutely suggest things we love as Goans. But we're not going to force-feed you fish curry and call it "local experience." If your group is Punjabi and wants elegant continental cuisine, we'll get the best chef for exactly that. It's your evening. We just make sure every detail is dialled in.

Add-Ons That Take It Up a Notch

Every charter includes ice, water, and soft beverages from the boat. You're welcome to bring your own alcohol.

I've been doing these charters for over two years now, and every single trip still feels as good as the first, the same excitement, the same sense of discovery. Even without a single add-on, the trip by itself is worth every rupee.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Not really. Weekday prices are largely the same as weekends. Morning charters can sometimes attract a small discount, worth asking about when you enquire.

Ice, water, and soft beverages are included with every charter. Some operators include light snacks like chips or peanuts. Privé gives you Pringles. Because we have taste.

Two hours, typically referred to as "1+1" (one hour cruising, one hour anchored). You can do a single hour of cruising only, but the cost savings are minimal and you lose the best part of the experience.

The main one people trip on: drone shoots are not included in the base price. It's the most popular add-on and runs about ₹2,000–₹4,000 depending on the pilot. Always check their sample reels from previous clients before confirming. For complete transparency, see our full price guide.
